There are some users who say that the battery does not last long enough and runs out of power shortly after charging. At present, most walkie-talkies on the market are mainly based on high-efficiency and environmentally friendly lithium batteries, but some walkie-talkies still use NiMH batteries and Ni-CD batteries. The battery charging method of different batteries is actually different.
NiMH and Ni-CD batteries: The battery needs to be activated, and the first three times battery charges can be activated after charging for more than 12 hours. Before each battery charge, make sure that the battery of the walkie-talkie is completely used up (that is, when you press and hold the PTT button of the walkie-talkie, it cannot transmit normally), and it is fully charged at one time. Do not use it before it is fully charged, which will deplete the battery service life.
Lithium battery: Lithium battery can be used directly without activation. Just charge the battery when the battery power is lower than 10% or the walkie-talkie low battery reminds, and the battery can be unplugged in about 15 minutes after being fully charged, which can extend the battery life very well.
Common precautions for battery use.
Be sure not to use batteries with inferior cells, which not only have certain safety hazards, but also damage the walkie-talkie.
Cargers of different types of batteries (such as nickel-metal hydride batteries and lithium batteries) cannot be mixed, otherwise the batteries will be damaged;
When charging with the walkie-talkie, the walkie-talkie should be turned off;
Be sure not to put the walkie-talkie or the battery on the battery charging stand. The battery will be overcharged, which will seriously endanger the battery life.
If there is a new battery that does not need to be used temporarily, it needs to be placed in a ventilated and dry place, not exposed to the sun or placed in a humid place. If the battery has been used, it needs to be discharged before storage. Do not store it with full power or without power.
